The Zaniah hat (pronounced zuh-NYE- uh ) is a cable knit hat inspired by an ethereal night sky, the burning tails of meteors, and a star of the same name - Zaniah. This will surely be one of those projects where you can learn a new skill, take to your stitch night, and be enchanted as you see the cables come together to form a star at the crown!

MATERIALS

YARN

• 1 skein Madelintosh Tosh Vintage (100%; SW Merino Wool: 200 yards/100 grams)

  • Approx. 200 yards/100 grams grams of #4 Worsted-weight wool

GAUGE

• 32 stitches and 29.5 rows = 4”/10cm in cable pattern on larger needles, unstretched.

NEEDLES

• US 5/3.75 mm 16” circular knitting needles

• US 7/4.50 mm 16” circular knitting needles

• US 7/4.5 mm set of dpns or 32” (or longer) circular needle for magic loop
